Australian Food & Fibre (AFF) is proud to be part of the cotton industry and its evolving future and plays a significant role in contributing to producing high quality, sustainable, Australian cotton, as one of the country’s largest producer, processor and shipper of the fibre at scale and speed.
AFF constantly searches for innovative solutions and new opportunities in a global environment rapidly moving towards net zero emissions. AFF act with absolute integrity to ensure sustainable cotton’s traceability and accountability throughout the supply chain.
AFF has farms across the New South Wales (NSW) cotton growing valleys, producing high-quality cotton that embraces a certified approach to production, including producing Better Cotton that conforms with the Leading Harvest Australia Farmland Standard.
There are seven AFF cotton gins in operation across NSW along with a globally respected cotton classing facility in Sydney. AFF’s warehousing facilities operate to Australian Quality Inspection Service (AQIS) standards and provide container loading services for a range of commodities. These facilities have both road and rail access, which provides the transfer of containerised commodities to ports for export, with our team providing all the shipping arrangements to deliver to customers at destination.
AFF understands the important role the natural fibre sector can play in addressing climate change, whether it be sequestering carbon as part of farming practices, reviewing energy use and reducing emissions or investing capital to support the transition to a lower emission world. AFF care about what they do and how they do it, and it shows in the way responsibility is taken in relation to the impact on the environment and communities. AFF seek to align with partners in the supply chain who share these objectives.
At AFF there is a total commitment to the Australian cotton industry, which is demonstrated with our participation in all industry bodies at all levels.
