With 12,000 people in 35 countries, COFCO International is the overseas agriculture business platform for COFCO Corporation, China's largest food and agriculture company. In 2017, COFCO International handled over 100 million tonnes of related commodities with revenues of $34bn. The company is accelerating its growth to create a world-class integrated global agriculture supply chain, anchored in China and competing globally. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, our cotton operations are at the forefront of the worldwide trade in cotton. We also have commercial offices to support our operations in the world’s major cotton producing and consuming markets including China, Brazil, India, Turkey West Africa, and Australia. We have direct involvement in the origination of all our cotton to ensure quality is consistently high. The four storage facilities we own and operate in the US are all licensed by the USDA and ICE. Together, they cover an area of 115,000 square metres. They can store 330,000 bales of cotton. The success of our cotton operation results from the partnerships we build with both producers and customers. Our strategy is to continue building mutually valuable relationships right along the supply chain.
