Fletcher International Exports Pty Ltd (FIE) is a leading Australian processor and exporter of lamb and sheep meat products. With 50% Aboriginal ownership, the private, family-owned business is committed to maximising the use of each animal, marketing not only meat but also wool, sheep skins, and high-quality by-products.
The company supports over 1,900 farmers and employs more than 1,400 people, with the majority based in Central West NSW, making it the largest private employer in the Dubbo region.
FIE's extensive operations include 96,000 hectares of farming and livestock enterprises across Queensland, NSW and Western Australia. The company exports 25,000 container units annually to over 90 countries, with key markets including the USA, the Middle East, Japan, China, and others.
In 2010, FIE expanded its operations to include an intermodal terminal on 728 hectares, featuring grain storage, cotton warehouses, and a container yard. The terminal handles over 80,000 metric tonnes of sheep meat and 400,000 metric tonnes of grains, pulses and oilseeds annually, with the capacity to export 200,000 cotton bales per year.
In addition to its own products, FIE manages third-party exports and imports, including mining products and containerised solar panels. As the company continues to grow globally, it remains committed to supporting local communities and sustainable progress.
